Family day off! Started with pancakes, visited with Jess & Vera, wandered the mall, hit the Indian buffet, and tried to go bowling. Everyone else had the same idea about bowling, though, so we decided to come home and play games.

Today is BAG's birthday. In elementary school, there were 4 of us with birthdays on the 14th: Beth, Robin, Alicia, and me. We had a little 14ths club. Glad to still hear from two of those girls, if even from a distance. Happy Birthday, BAG!

Also glad to catch up with Jess today. Feeling grateful for friendships.

Spent the first day of 2013 lounging around in denial that vacation is over. It was so relaxing, though, and I am glad to work somewhere that shuts down for the break. Tomorrow it'll be back to the gym and hitting the ground running on our crazy busy January at the office.
